CASE STUDY:

Olympian Precast Factory Tour

Olympian Precast, a Pacific Northwest-based architectural precast concrete design and manufacturing company, planned to host approximately 300 conference attendees at the facility. Attendees would be bussed to the site and toured through the facility in groups of 10. Olympian wanted each attendee to leave with something that showed off the company's expertise, and that they were likely to keep and use.

Once the budget was established, Grid worked with Olympian to explore various options before deciding to create a small picture booklet featuring past and current projects. The small size of the booklet helped keep the price reasonable and created an intimacy between the viewer and the subject, while keeping the ability to feature a wide variety of products. The design decision to use an architectural style for the booklet featured large images and little text.

Grid worked with Olympian's library of architectural photography to showcase the company's capabilities. Text was limited to a brief description and identification of the architect, general, contractor, and building type.
